STATE OF SALT

''How could we tackle

the salt consumption

by using salt?''

This question inspired us to design the State of Salt campaign, using Allium salt experiments as material.

 

State of Salt is about making the consumer aware of the high consumption of salt and a call for action about the way companies produce food.

We wanted to tackle this subject because of the fast consumption and hype around having a healthy lifestyle. People aren't aware of the fact that 'healthy' foods and products contain a lot of (added) salt.

By making a campaign we hoped to bring awareness and let people form their own thoughts and opinions about processed foods and salt consumption. This is to improve their eating habits and increase health, but more importantly to make a change in the way companies produce food.

Using social media and stickers to spread the word, we wanted to create an online and offline movement. This to tackle the big companies in changing their way of producing, because we realized this will not work in a short amound of time and  a small group of two.
